Hyderabad: An attention diversion gang targeted a New Delhi resident at a crowded place in Panja-gutta late on Thursday night and fled with her laptop.
The victim, identified as Poonam Hukkar, 42, booked a cab and stopped at a store, leaving her laptop in the car. Police said a person approached the cab driver and showed him some notes on the ground and said they had fallen from the car.
The driver got down from the car and started picking the notes, the culprit opened the back door and fled with the laptop.
