GSTAAD PROVIDES UPDATE FROM ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING AND APPOINTS NEW CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

Gstaad Capital Corp. has provided an update on the results from its annual general meeting of shareholders held on Dec. 16, 2014. At the meeting, the shareholders elected one new member to the company's board of directors. The shareholders also reappointed the current auditor, Crowe Mackay LLP, chartered accountants.

Election of directors

At the meeting, the company's shareholders elected five directors, including the following new director: Joseph Martin.

Mr. Martin brings over 30 years of experience in business administration. Since 1990, he has overlapped a full-time professional-soccer-coaching career with the Vancouver Whitecaps with an active management role in the New Dawn Group, an investment and financial consulting firm, located in Vancouver, B.C. Mr. Martin holds MBA modules in accounting and business management from the Heriot-Watt University at the Edinburgh Business School. He currently does not serve on the board of any public company. The company's board of directors is now composed of Paul Larkin, Philip Pincus, Robert Falls, William Wright and Mr. Martin.

Change in chief financial officer/confirmation of officers

The board of directors also announces that Mr. Pincus has resigned as chief financial officer of the company to devote more time to other business interests. Mr. Pincus will remain as a director of the company. The board thanks Mr. Pincus for his service as chief financial officer and contribution to the company.

Jonathan Younie has assumed Mr. Pincus's role as chief financial officer of the company.

Since 2006, Mr. Younie has been the manager, corporate finance and accounting, of the New Dawn Group, an investment and financial consulting firm, located in Vancouver, B.C., and a director and/or officer of various TSX Venture Exchange-listed companies. New Dawn is primarily involved in corporate finance, merchant banking and administrative management of public companies. Prior to joining New Dawn, Mr. Younie held accounting positions at private and public companies, including Ashton Mining of Canada Inc. He currently serves as the chief financial officer of Tyner Resources Ltd. and controller of Condor Resources Inc.

The board welcomes Mr. Younie in his role as chief financial officer to the company.

The officers of the company are confirmed as follows:

  • President and chief executive officer: Mr. Larkin;
  • Chief financial officer: Mr. Younie;
  • Corporate secretary: Erin Walmesley.
