Park losing support amid scandals, economic slump

Park's approval rating dropped to 37% in a recent poll.

SEOUL -- Rocked by scandals and hampered by her inability to turn the economy around, South Korean President Park Geun-hye -- who won election exactly two years ago  -- is seeing her approval rating sink.

     Park's approval rating slipped 4 percentage points from the previous week to 37% for the third week of December, according to Gallup Korea. Her disapproval rating rose 3 points to 52%. Approval stood at around 60% just after she took office in February 2013.
