Ministers line up at Doval son’s think-tank event in Goa

Spiritual leader Sri Sri Ravishankar stressed the need to use India’s spiritual wisdom to help create a just and equitable world.

The who’s who of right-wing intelligentsia, including three senior Cabinet ministers, made an appearance at the inaugural session of the three-day conclave organised by India Foundation, a think tank set up by Shaurya Doval, the son of National Security Advisor Ajit Doval.

Railway Minsiter Suresh Prabhu, Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar and MoS (Independent Charge) for Ministry of Commerce & Industry Nirmala Sitharaman attended that session. The “India Ideas Conclave”, organised with the help of the Goa government, was held at a posh resort in south Goa. “It was an idea mooted to me eight months back by my colleague Ram Madhav. I believe that this is the beginning and I hope that Goa holds this meeting year after year,” Parrikar said.

The Conclave will focus on discussing “Integral Human development” focusing on economic and the socio-cultural problems. It will also have five Cabinet ministers — Sushma Swaraj, Suresh Prabhu, Ravi Shankar Prasad, Piyush Goyal and Nirmala Sitharaman addressing sessions.

At the event, spiritual leader Sri Sri Ravishankar stressed the need to use India’s spiritual wisdom to help create a just and equitable world.
