Two stabbed, robbed in moving train

Two brothers in their thirties were stabbed and robbed by a eunuch and another man in the Unchahar Express around 9.15 am on Friday.

GHAZIABAD: Two brothers in their thirties were stabbed and robbed by a eunuch and another man in the Unchahar Express around 9.15 am on Friday. The injured, Amar Singh and Vijaypal Singh, were admitted to a hospital in Ghaziabad.
The incident took place in Delhi, soon after the train left Shahdara railway station. A case was filed with the Ghaziabad station Government Railway Police (GRP).
It was later transferred to the Delhi GRP.
The brothers boarded the general compartment of the train at Shahdara. They were travelling home in Sambhal in Uttar Pradesh after visiting Nangal in Punjab.
"The eunuch and his companion, both yet unidentified, also boarded the train at Shahdara. Shortly after the train left the station, they pulled out knives and asked them to hand over all their belongings. When the brothers resisted, they were stabbedVijaypal in one arm and Amar in the abdomen. They then pulled the emergency stop chain and got off the train," said Pankaj Lavania, GRP circle officer.
Lavania said the case will be investigated by the Delhi GRP.
