PONDA: Work on three
developmental projects in
Ponda town has been approved by the
Ponda municipal council (PMC) at a meeting held on Friday and the council has unanimously approved the plans of the projects. The PMC has also decided to float tenders for the projects by January. PMC planned three developmental projects: Parking and recreation facilities at the abandoned paddy fields acquired by PMC, development of the municipal garden and an under pass near St Anne’s church at Upper Bazaar.
Pune based consultant company - Construction Catalyst was hired to study the projects and prepare a feasibility report. The company made a presentation on the proposed projects , officiating PMC chief
Shantaram Kolvenkar informed after the meeting. The total cost of all the three projects has been estimated to 60-70 crore. tnn
