Kenya's World Junior Cross Country champion Faith Chepng'etich will make her second show in Brussels on Sunday as she seeks to shake off the rust after a long break.
Chepng'etich is keen to stake claim to the World Cross Country championships, which will be held in Guiyang, China on March 28.
"I am just getting started. I had a long holiday after the track season. Winning the Commonwealth games was great and now, I must get my body ready for the cross country and I want gold in China," she said.
Chepng'etich will be making her debut as a senior in the discipline. The 1,500m Commonwealth Games champion is keen to take her top form in junior to her senior competitions.
Also competing in Brussels are World Junior and Asian Games 3000m champion Ruth Jebet of Bahrain Zewdnesh Ayele of Ethiopia and two time European champion Fionnuala Britton.
There is also Belgium's Almensch Belete, while Louise Carton is another strong home contender. Bulgaria's Militsa Mircheva will hope to carry the form that took her to silver in the u23 race in Samokov.
The men's race will see the top two from last year's race return; Alex Kibet of Kenya and Albert Rop of Bahrain. Endite
