‘Role for KEC alumni in building brand Vizag’

Chairman of Visakhapatnam Port M.T. Krishna Babu has called upon the alumni of Kakinada Engineering College (JNTU) to play an active role by giving their suggestions to make Visakhapatnam the ‘best smart city’ in the country.

An alumnus of KEC, Mr. Krishna Babu participated as chief guest at the 33rd alumni meet of the college held at IIAM College at MVP Colony here on Sunday.

The alumni meet of KEC is being held without any break on the first Sunday of December every year since 1982 in Visakhapatnam.

Mr. Krishna Babu (1987 batch) paid rich tributes to Bharat Ratna Mokshagundam Visweswarayya for his outstanding services to the nation.

He said the port was planning to set up a fully air-conditioned stadium and art gallery in Visakhapatnam as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).

The daylong celebrations included warm-up games, entertainment programmes, fun games, and felicitation of members.
