The tablet is 3G enabled and has slots for two SIM card slots, which also means it supports voice calling.

On the back, it has a 5-megapixel camera, and on the front it has a 3-megapixel camera. Internally, it sports a 3,200mAh battery.

The tablet comes preloaded with the usual set of Google apps. Of course, this means that it has apps like Hangouts, Google Drive, Chrome, and Gmail amongst others.

The Canvas Tab P470 comes back of the heels of the Canvas P666, which was powered by an Intel atom processor.

In the past month Micromax also launched the Canvas Selfie smartphone, and it also launched a new subsidiary called Yu. It announced the first Yu smartphone called Yureka on December 18.
