Preview: AmaZulu v Swallows

Cape Town - AmaZulu will be without suspended pair Bornwell Mwape and Robyn Johannes for their Premiership 'six-pointer' against Moroka Swallows on Saturday.

Coach Steve Barker described the clash as "the most important one of the year" for Usuthu in his pre-match media address this week and the Durbanites will be desperate for a win to end the year on a high.

They are bottom of the table with nine points, seven fewer than the Birds, who are two places above them and drew their last game 1-1 away at Ajax Cape Town in midweek.

"Saturday's game is, in my opinion, probably the most important one of the year for AmaZulu Football Club," Barker said. "It's almost a six-pointer and we have no option but to win.

"Victory will allow us to at least stay within touching distance of the teams above us and will give us something to work on from next year.

"So we have to go out there in a positive mind frame and look for the victory."

Apart from the suspended duo, the home side will also be without injured trio Siyabonga Mngoma, Marc van Heerden and John Arwuah.

Swallows, meanwhile, also claimed a point in their last outing - a 1-1 scoreline against Orlando Pirates in Dobsonville.

Fani Madida's men have their own injury troubles with Luvhengo Mungomeni, Boris Savic and Rudi Isaacs all facing late fitness tests.

Midfielder Tshwarelo Bereng is ruled out altogether, while Mthokozisi Yende could make his first start after debuting against Bloemfontein Celtic off the bench last week.
