Air Force Association(AFA) will on January 17, 2015 hold activities like paragliding, power hang gliding, aero-modelling and special heliborne at GMDC grounds in Ahmedabad as part of IAF awareness campaign. India’s first astronaut retired wing commander Rakesh Sharma will attend this function. Operations(SHBO) by helicopters will also be displayed. The Indian Air Force(IAF) ceremonial band will perform and the air warriors will execute drill movements and parade. Various weapons from the inventory of IAF will also be in display.On January 18, a cultural charity programme “Vayu Shakti Sandhya” will be held at Sardar Patel stadium. School and college children are to be invited to attend the functions in large number.
