Helen I want you to know that I voted for you a few times, not in the last election and not in any future elections. I didn't vote in the last election because you representatives in Mpumalanga don't represent me, They are not at all people that I would trust to play fair.
When we had a problem a few years ago that affected the provinces matriculants, we got no joy from the education department and sadly Anthony and his team did not consider the issue worth investigating, just so you know, in 2010 kids that were expected to get distinctions for English did not. It also appears that not one English first language student received a distinction province wide. None of the political parties thought that this was an issue that needed resolving. Many children failed to get discounts from universities because 88% became 67% and this affected the aggregate marks.
The real reason for writing this letter however is not about historic events but because you showed a level of ignorance yesterday that is astounding. Claiming that Atheists can be fundamentalists and even saying that Atheists can kill without compunction because they don't believe in a deity spreads stupidity, hate and ignorance. I expected more from you, but I guess I was wrong, seems all politicians are equally stupid and have no understanding of how the real world works.
Fundamentalism is taking an umbrella and poking it up someone backside and opening it. Fundamentalism is bombing abortion clinics because they offend your religious beliefs, fundamentalism is hacking off peoples heads and shouting glory to god. It is not writing letters, debating issues and proving that religion is dangerous.
You used a discredited idea yesterday when you claimed that Stalin killed to spread Atheism. Stalin saw the church and it's ideologies as opposition to his desire for power. He killed people because they opposed him, they opposed his lust for power, they opposed his ideologies, he did not kill them to advance Atheism.
OYG, next you will be referring to Atheists as Satanists, this too is yet another myth. Atheists don't have invisible friends, not good ones or bad ones, Atheists do not believe they are gods, that is a known symptom of Schizophrenia, Atheists can be Schizophrenic but not all Atheists are Schizophrenic and not all Schizophrenics are Atheist or believe they are god.
Another myth you may like to use is that Atheists are evolutionists, this is also tripe. Evolution is a branch of Science, Science does not try and disprove gods, it is a side affect though of scientific endeavour that God has fewer places to hide, that's why we call him the God of the gaps.
The only thing that all Atheists have in common is a disbelief in gods, any gods, most don't believe in any supernatural stuff but some believe in alien probing, think that homeopathy and reiki are real medicine, but some only believe stuff that has real evidence. oh and we love a nice rack of ribs, the younger the baby, the better.
Your tweets added to the stupidity that atheists face every day. I will not thank you for that.
