Wolters Kluwer (WTKWY.PK), a provider of software services to the finance and healthcare sectors, has agreed to acquire SBS Software GmbH, a German provider of accounting and payroll solutions. Bretten-based SBS Software has over 100 employees and serves over 6,000 customers. The acquisition may close in January 2015.
Ralf Gärtner, Managing Director Wolters Kluwer Tax & Accounting in Germany, said: "The acquisition of SBS Software aligns with our strategy of expanding our leading, high growth position in tax and accounting software, and in particular strengthens our core business serving tax advisors in Germany. Wolters Kluwer has had a long-standing business relationship with SBS Software, which will facilitate the integration process. All SBS product lines and distribution partnerships will continue to be supported under Wolters Kluwer".
SBS Software's main products are SBS Lohn plus for payroll accounting and SBS Rewe neo for financial accounting.
