Umesh to guide aspiring filmmakers
Not many know that National Award winning film director Umesh Kulkarni of Valu and Deool fame has been promoting the cause of short films with a vengeance.
He has been organizing annual workshops on short films for the past three years. This year too, he will conduct his annual workshop in Pune from December 26 to 29.

The whole idea behind the exercise is to guide and train the aspiring young filmmakers in different arenas of filmmaking, including the screenplay, direction etc.
Umesh who has been on the jury of festivals like Clermont Ferrand and International Documentary and Short Film Festival of Kerala, will be supported by film academician Samar Nakhate in the workshop. The language of instruction will be Marathi. Anybody aged 18 and above can participate in the workshop that will be conducted at the National Film Archive of India (NFAI) premises in Pune.
