Timepass gets its Telugu title

We had earlier reported about director Ravi Jadhav's hit movie 'Timepass' being remade in Telugu and that 'Bbuddah Hoga Terra Baap' director Puri Jagannath's son Aakash will be essaying the lead role of 'Dagdu' in it.
Now it is learnt, that the South film is titled 'Andhra Pori' and actress Ulka Gupta is playing the female lead. Producer of the film, Ramesh Prasad, announced the same at the launch of the film recently, as reported in The Hindu.
Reacting on his film being remade in Telugu, Ravi had told us, "It's a great feeling when your film inspires other filmmakers. Plus, it's heartening to see a Marathi movie being remade into a South film as the general trend is other way round."
He had added, "The maker's of the South remake have done a good job and am very happy about it. In fact, they involved me in every stage while working on the remake as I had told them about my keenness in knowing every detail. I had got proposals from some 15 odd South producers for remaking my film but I was very skeptical of handing it over until I was fully confident about the makers."
Meanwhile, Ravi has recently started the shooting of a sequel titled 'Timepass 2' ('TP2') of this successful script.
Made in a budget of approx two crores, the Marathi film had collected over 31 crores at the box-office.
