Meeting held on pulse polio drive in Mandya

Plan is to cover 1,72,751 children in the district during the campaign

M.N. Ajay Nagabhushan, Deputy Commissioner, has instructed the officials to work effectively and make the pulse polio drive, which will begin on January 18, a grand success.

Mr. Nagabhushan had convened the meeting here on Wednesday to instruct the officials concerned to make all arrangements for the pulse polio drive, a release from the Department of Information and Public Relations said here on Thursday. The anti-polio drops will be administered to 1,72,751 children in the district. The district administration will set up 723 booths at public places for the purpose and deploy 2,892 workers/volunteers for it, the release said.

Rohini Sindhuri, Chief Executive Officer of the Mandya zilla panchayat and Puttaraju, nodal officer of pulse polio drive were among those who attended the meeting.
