Hyderabad: The East Zone police conducted a cordon and search at the crowded Mahatma Gandhi Bus Station in Afzalgunj on Wednesday night. About 21 suspects were arrested and taken to the police station. They were later released on Thursday after collecting their details.
Senior officials from the rank of ACP, inspectors and constables took part in the search.
Inspector C. Anjaiah said the search for conducted to find criminals and anti-social elements. All those who were found moving suspiciously were arrested. People who had no travel plans but were found wandering in the bus station were also held. They were questioned, details collected and released. Autorickshaws too were seized during the raid.
