Luis Moreno sworn in as US ambassador to Jamaica

Luis G Moreno was today sworn in at the United States Department of State as the next American ambassador to Jamaica.



Moreno was described as a State Department career problem-solver and an excellent appointment for Jamaica.



Among those in attendance at the swearing in ceremony were Jamaican Ambassador to the United States, Professor Stephen Vascianne.



Moreno thanked Vascianne for attending and pledged to work closely with him on

mutual issues.



The Ambassador, his wife Gloria and his two daughters will leave for Kingston just after Christmas.
