Lara Dutta, who was last seen in Bejoy Nambiar’s David, has now joined the cast of Fitoor, Abhishek Kapoor’s adaptation of Charles Dickens novel Great Expectations. The actress will reportedly be seen in the role of an art curator in the film. It is already known that Aditya Roy Kapur, the male lead in the film, plays a painter and Katrina Kaif is his muse. Lara will be seen as the owner of an art gallery who is impressed with Roy’s work. It is also being said that Roy and Dutta will be seen sharing screen space in some intense dramatic sequences.
Dutta, it seems, is all set to act in interesting projects. After Fitoor she has Shamiyana (tentative title) which is co-produced by her husband Mahesh Bhupathi. Dwelling on relationships, it has Kay Kay Menon as her co-star. There is also Chalo China, the sequel to her home production Chalo Dilli. But there is still time for that project to take off.
Currently being shot in Kashmir, Fitoor also stars Rekha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Akshay Oberoi and Talat Aziz with Ajay Devgn in a cameo. It is produced by UTV Motion Pictures.
