After playing riveting characters in films Ishqiya, The Dirty Picture and Kahaani, Vidya Balan will now be seen as a woman who makes floral designs in a hotel, in Mohit Suri’s Hamari Adhuri Kahaani.
Floral designing is the art of using plant materials and flowers to create a pleasing and balanced composition. It is a specialised art and was there even in the culture of ancient Egypt. In fact, Balan underwent special training with an expert in the field to hone her performance. It will be fascinating to see how the talented actress tackles this unusal character.
Suri in an earlier interview had described the film as a romantic-drama that will explore the life span of a person right from childhood, marriage, post-marriage, children and ultimately death. The shooting of Hamari Adhuri Kahaani took off in Kolkata during Durga Puja this year, where some crucial scenes were filmed on lead pair Vidya Balan and Emraan Hashmi over four days. The location shifted to Abu Dhabi for a schedule before moving to Dubai and then had a schedule in Cape Town. Now after the three foreign locations, the Mumbai schedule is presently underway and the film will wrap up in December/ January. Also starring Rajkummar Rao, HAK is produced by Vishesh Films and presented by Fox Star Studios.
