VADODARA: It seemed that only one
Baroda High School (BHS),
Alkapuri player was enough to take on
Goenka School girls in the Times T20 Soccer tournament on Thursday in Vadodara.
BHS forward player,
Niralee Bhatt single-handedly took on the Goenka team and zipped past their defence regularly with ease. At one point of time, it seemed that it was a direct contest between Niralee Bhatt and Goenka girls. Niralee opened account for BHS in 7th minute by taking a pass and pushing the ball in nets.
In 10th, Niralee converted a corner and in 13th minute scored from a goal kick.
By the half time, BHS had already won the game psychologically as Goenka struggled to even reach the goalpost of their opponents.
Pari Gajera of Goenka tried to fight back when she made a fantastic direct kick from half line and almost scored a goal but it was in vain.
In second half, Helly scored fourth goal for BHS by converting penalty kick. Later it was Niralee all the way as she scored three goals, making a mockery of the clueless Goenka school’s defence. Niralee was declared as player of the match.
