Rampur: A bank official allegedly raped a woman on the pretext of arranging a job for her son, filmed the act and threatened to post it on the internet if she informed the police, police said here on Thursday.
According to a complaint lodged yesterday at the Civil Lines police station, the woman had approached the bank official while he was posted at Ram Nagar in Uttarakhand, police said.
Later the official was transfered to Rampur and he called up the woman and demanded Rs 8 lakh for the job. The woman paid him Rs 6 lakh, but he did nothing about the job, they said.
When the woman pressurised the official, he called her to his residence here on August 18, 2013. There, he offered her tea containing intoxicating drug and allegedly raped her when she became unconscious. He even filmed the act with the help of a woman accomplice and threatened her to refrain from approaching the police, failing which he would post the clipping on the internet, they said.
The complaint has been registered following a court order, police said.
The accused is currently posted in Haldwani and the victim hails from Ram Nagar.
