Those companies that have already committed to using VoIP already know what a lot of other companies will soon learn: VoIP pays off.
That’s the summary of a new report just released by a major marketing organization, wherein the virtues of the Voice over Internet Protocol technology are carefully dissected.
“Rising demand for affordable communication services across the globe, and improving wireless and wired network infrastructure is fueling the growth of [the] VoIP services market,” the report notes.
While the low cost of VoIP is the first point mentioned in the report, it’s by no means the only selling point that is helping make new converts almost daily.
“The major factor contributing to the growth of the VoIP services market is its price performance,” the report states. “Additionally, these services provide features such as rich media and voice quality, and phone number portability. Moreover, VoIP is capable of providing service mobility, integrated applications, user control interface and other rich features.”
Still, there are other attributes worth mentioning.
“VoIP services are easy to install, use and troubleshoot. The VoIP service finds its application across end-use segments such as residential, mobile network providers and corporate,” the survey found.
The research study is officially titled "VoIP Services (End-use – Corporate Consumers and Individual Consumers) Market - Global Industry Analysis, Size, Share, Growth, Trends and Forecast, 2014 - 2020". While that’s quite a mouthful, it does indeed provide in-depth analysis of the market and related sub-segments, and also focuses on markets such as configuration, call types and end-use.
“In addition, this report provides market insights and data about the size and growth of each segment, [and includes detailed analysis of prevalent market trends and also company profiles of key players,” a press release about the findings said.
But it’s the conclusion that packs the biggest punch: “The VoIP services market is expected to foresee continuous growth in the coming years due to cost effectiveness, improving network infrastructure across the globe and rising demand for smart devices and mobility among the corporate and individual consumers,” it said. “Additionally, the rising competition among the telecommunication service providers and Internet service providers across the industry is fueling the growth of the market in terms of product and service differentiation.”
For both providers and users, VoIP would appear to be a technology whose time has come.
