OAKBROOK TERRACE, IL -- (Marketwired) -- 12/18/14

Redbox today announced two additions to its content leadership team: T.J. Moffett, vice president of Movies, and Bill West, vice president of Video Games. Both executives will be based in Redbox's Santa Monica office and report to Mike Saksa, Redbox's head of content.

T.J. Moffett brings more than 17 years of experience in home entertainment, including five years in theatrical greenlight and acquisitions, to his new role overseeing content acquisition for Redbox. Moffett previously held positions at Lionsgate, as senior vice president of Home Entertainment Marketing, and at Summit Entertainment, as executive vice president of Home Entertainment Marketing. In those roles, he oversaw some of the studios' biggest franchises in home entertainment, including "The Hunger Games" and "The Twilight Saga."

"Moffett comes to Redbox with a proven track record in successfully overseeing titles through their entire marketing lifecycle, from theatrical release to home video," said Mike Saksa, head of content at Redbox. "Given his expertise, we're excited for him to set our title marketing strategy and work with studio partners to maximize title performance, utilizing Redbox assets."

Bill West joins Redbox from Codemasters, Inc., an independent video game publisher, where he served dual roles as vice president of Global Corporate Strategy and general manager. His background includes 12 years of video game experience, during which he held positions in general management, strategic planning and business development in publishing. Prior to entering the games business, he worked for The Jim Henson Company and The Walt Disney Company.

"West brings extensive video game industry business planning and strategy expertise," said Saksa. "With our continuing focus on gaming, he'll work closely with publishers to drive title awareness and trial, while developing our strategy to transition consumers from current to new-generation consoles."

With more than 541 million rentals this year as of the end of September, Redbox is the leading provider of paid movie-rental transactions. As of the third quarter of 2014, Redbox's digital-marketing channels span more than 36 million email subscribers, 26 million app downloads and 5.4 million SMS subscribers.
