Aguero could face Arsenal

Cape Town - Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini says he expects Sergio Aguero to be back for the games against Arsenal and Chelsea in late January.

The Argentine striker has been out injured since City's win over Everton on December 6. It was initially predicted that Aguero may even miss the return of the Champions League in February, where the Citizens will take on Barcelona, but that is no longer a worry for Pellegrini.

"Sergio has a torn ligament and I think it will be long before that tie, probably in the first weeks of January, that he will play," Football411 quotes the Chilean coach as saying.

Despite his recent absence, Aguero is still the Premier League's leading goal-scorer with 14 goals. City are currently second in the Premier League, three points behind leaders Chelsea.

Their next opponents are Crystal Palace on Saturday, whom they take on without Aguero or fellow injured strikers Edin Dzeko and Stefan Jovetic.
