This year the film industry witnessed over 200 releases, but unfortunately more than half turned out to be a disaster. Only a handful of films created wonders at the box office this year.

Several high profile films, which were promoted extensively, failed to make a mark at the box office, making the ratio of flop films higher than hit films.

Here are the top 12 films that bombed at the box office:

Dishkiyaoon: Harman Baweja's comeback film turned out to be a disaster this year. The film did a business of around ₹5 crore in its lifetime run.

Bobby Jasoos: Since it featured Vidya Balan in the lead role, the film was expected to do well. But unfortunately the weak storyline played spoilsport. It minted around ₹11 crore in its lifetime run.

The Xpose: The Himesh Reshammiya starrer was one of the most hyped movies of the year. The lead actress Sonali Raut and Zoya Afroz slap-gate incident created much hype, but that didn't help the business of the film. The lifetime domestic total of the film now stands at ₹22.77 crore.

One by Two: Abhay Deol failed to impress audience with his debut production film. From reviews to box office collection, everything turned out to be a disaster for the producer.

Kaanchi: Subhash Ghai's directorial film "Kaanchi: The Unbreakable" fell flat at the box office. The film made only ₹4 crore in its lifetime run from Indian markets.

Youngistaan: Director Syed Ahmad Afzal's film "Youngistaan" has also joined the long list of flop films. The Jackky Bhagnani and Neha Sharma starrer raked in less than ₹10 crore from ticket window in its lifetime run. Needless to say, "Youngistaan" is Bhagnani's yet another flop movie.

Revolver Rani: After giving a superhit film like "Queen", Kangana Ranaut delivered a bad performance in "Revolver Rani". Sai Kabir's directorial film is one of the disastrous films released this year.

Raja Natwarlal: The Emraan Hashmi starrer had a weak box office run in India and the film minted only ₹26.83 crore.

Bewakoofiyan: The only good part about the movie was Rishi Kapoor, rest was a disaster. Even the lead actors chemistry couldn't save the film at the box office.

Ungli: Another Emraan Hashmi starrer film that bombed at the box office, after "Raja Natwarlal". With negative reviews, the film didn't show any growth in its box office collection. The film minted ₹19.15 crore.

Happy Ending: Desptie mixed reviews, the film didn't work at the box office. The film featured Saif Ali Khan, Govinda, Ranveer Shorey, Kalki Koechlin and Ilena D'Cruz. Trade experts were expecting that "Happy Ending" would open well, but to their surprise it bombed on day one itself.

Kill Dil: Although the film featured Ranveer Singh, Parineeti Chopra, Ali Zafar and Govinda, it still flopped at the box office. The romantic action film earned 31.53 ₹crore.
