UK-based James E McCabe Ltd has announced its partnership plans with MYX Fusions Moscato, to distribute the brand in the UK and Ireland.
Following the news that the drinks brand has grown by 500% in the US since February, James E McCabe reveals plans to roll out the product on trade in the UK and Ireland from November and off trade in 2015.
International popstar Nicki Minaj co-owns the brand alongside CEO of multi-media entertainment company Monami Entertainment, Mona Scott-Young. The hip-hop artist has featured the product on several songs, including her latest number one hit “Bang Bang,” (Jessie J, featuring Nicki Minaj and Ariana Grande) in which Nicki raps, “It’s MYX Moscato/It’s frizz in the bottle/It’s Nicki full throttle.” Her involvement with the brand had contributed to her being the only female in Forbes’ list of Hip-Hop Cash Kings earlier this year.
MYX Fusions Moscato is a premium moscato wine infused with all natural fruit juices and flavours, which is naturally sweet, sparkling and refreshingly carbonated. The ready-to-drink beverage will be available in single serve 187ml signature cobalt blue bottles of 4x187ml pack and come in two flavours pure moscato and peach, with plans to launch coconut and mango editions next year. The easy to open, twist off cap provides for any casual occasion, with a beautifully designed package and premium quality beverage.
In the US it has become the number one moscato drink, rapidly expanding from nine to forty-two states in the past six months alone.
Mona Scott-Young said: “Nicki is a savvy businessperson and she has been an instrumental factor in the brand’s tremendous growth in the US. Her business acumen is helping to turn the signature cobalt blue MYX Fusions bottle into gold.”
Paula Colhoun of James E McCabe said: “We have watched a shift in the wine industry over the last few years and believe there is a real gap in the market for MYX Fusions Moscato. It will appeal to the millennial consumer who Nicki Minaj can help us reach. The brand has had phenomenal growth in the US this year and we are excited by the potential it has in both the UK and Ireland.”
