Review: Cinderella, The Tivoli Theatre, Dublin - 'a lot to recommend it, apart from the beaming visage of Alan Hughes' Sammy Sausages'
It may lack the bigger scale of Dublin's other pantos but this year's Tivoli offering has a lot to recommend it, apart from the familiar beaming visage of Alan Hughes' Sammy Sausages.
Rory Cowan from Mrs Brown's Boys is one of Cinderella's two ugly sisters, a kind of lanky Irish Dame Edna Everage, while Cinders' wicked stepmother is played by Niamh Kavanagh whose fantastic voice is displayed to superb effect in a cabaret-style song 'When You're Good To Mamma'.
