Outdoor advertising audit startup Proof of Performance Data Services (PoP) Ltd on Thursday said industry veteran Rajeev Puri has joined the company as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). He will also be a member of the board of PoP, said a statement.
The startup has been in the news lately when it bagged a contract from BJP to audit all its outdoor advertisements during the national elections earlier this year. According to a company statement Puri has held a wide range of leadership positions in various companies.

"As we grow and achieve greater scale, there is no better person to lead PoP than Rajeev Puri. As we open a new chapter of growth I am confident that Rajeev is the right person to lead the company forward," said Harjaap Singh Mann, founder and Managing Director, Proof of Performance Data Services Ltd in a statement.
PoP through its software platform allows and empowers any company that advertizes outdoor to plan, execute, undertake compliance audit and analyze its marketing activities.

The company was incorporated in 2010 and has been supported by the Department of Science & Technology and CIIE, IIM-Ahmedabad. It received about a million dollars in funding in 2012 from YourNest. PoP works across 30 cities and can perform compliance audits across more than 1050 towns.

"The opportunities for us in the future are huge as new avenues of work open up. Rajeev's proven ability to create value and his wealth of industry experience will contribute vastly to accelerate growth in our businesses."
Immediately prior to joining PoP, Puri was the Chief Executive Officer at Incar Tanzania Ltd , in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania. Puri has earlier been with Shaw Wallace & Co in India as its Vice President, Liquor, and also with Thomson Consumer Electronics India as VP Sales & Marketing, India. He also had stints at JK Tyre, where he was the General Manager Marketing and Dabur where he was the Senior Marketing Manager.

"Rajeev's mandate is to restructure the organization, grow the customer base, seek opportune alignments, identify new revenue verticals in addition to the existing ones and also bring on board new investors," said Mann.

PoP says it is also looking at new revenue generating verticals that include retail auditing, providing an Outdoor Media Platform wherein advertisers will get the opportunity to select sites for running their campaigns and collating data for Mobile Advertising in India.

"PoP is a great idea as it is the only one enterprise which has identified the long desired need of customers seeking data for conducting their outdoor campaigns. The company has managed to develop the technology to provide customers with reliable data and over the years, it has bagged major deals across sectors that validate the idea. The good thing is that customers are extremely satisfied with POP's output and I am excited about joining the company and ensuring we reach greater heights," said Puri in a statement.
