After a failed 50-year Cold War effort to topple the Communist regime of Cuba, President Obama announced the normalization of relations with the island nation 90 miles off the tip of Florida.

Struggling Cubans are rejoicing while Obama's political enemies are fuming. Obama says the U.S. embargo on the country didn't work, and he wants to bring Cuba into the 21st Century for the economic benefit of both nations.
