Sarath turns singer for Sanda Maarudam

Sarath turns singer for Sanda Maarudam
Actor Sarath Kumar has sung a song for his upcoming film Sanda Maarudam. Disclosing details of how the actor and politician ended up singing the song, music director James Vasanthan said, “It is a duet which the actor has sung with a singer called Cassandra. When I was wondering who would be the best person to sing this number, I realized Sarath would be the ideal person.
I SMSed him and he replied, ‘Are you serious?’. When he got to know I meant it, he said he’d take a call at the studio after listening to the number. He listened and then went ahead and sang it.”
Meanwhile, sources say the actor, who plays a double role in the film directed by A Venkatesh, had to shoot for almost 32 hours without rest to complete the climax of the film. Sources say it was because one of the heroines of the film, Meera Nanda, had reportedly taken up a job with a radio station in Dubai. “For completing her portions of the film’s climax, Meera had to take permission from the radio station. We had to complete shooting within the time period for which she had got approval. But the entire team did a fabulous job and worked non-stop to meet the deadline.”
Does that mean Meera has quit films to take up a career in a radio station in Dubai? Her mother says, “No, Meera has taken up a job as a programme producer and radio jockey as she is interested in the media. However, should she get an interesting film project, she is open to taking it up.”
