Novak Djokovic's wife gives birth to baby boy

Novak Djokovic's wife, Jelena, has reportedly given birth to a baby boy. It is the couple's first child.

Novak Djokovic's wife, Jelena, has given birth to a baby boy, the World No. 1 announced on Twitter on Wednesday. The news was originally reported by Serbian media on Tuesday. 

In April, Djokovic​ announced that he and fiancée​ Jelena Ristić were expecting their first child. The couple got engaged in September 2013 and were wed on July 12 in Montenegro, after dating since 2005.

The report says the boy is healthy and Djokovic is "happy, proud and joyful."

Djokovic is currently ranked as the No. 1 tennis player in the world. In 2014, he has reached the final of the French Open, won the Italian Open over Rafael Nadal, won Wimbledon over Roger Federer and lost in the semifinals of the U.S. Open to Kei Nishikori.
