Alex Pettyfer wants to direct films

London: Actor Alex Pettyfer has launched his own production company in a bid to branch out into movie making. The 22-year-old, who found fame in Hollywood with starring roles in ‘Magic Mike’, ‘Beastly’ and ‘I Am Number Four’, said he dreams of working behind the camera as a director, reported a leading daily. "I`m very ambitious. I live in reality but I have dreams I want to fulfil - I want to be a director, and I`ve already started my own production company. But I also have a measure of success that I keep to myself. It`s something very personal to me," he said. Pettyfer said that he models his career after late Oscar winner Paul Newman, who also found success as a director. "Paul Newman`s an inspiration. I know a lot of people say that, but I love that he`s a great role model and humanitarian. I admire people who don`t necessarily want to change the world, but try to make it a better environment." PTI
