It's clear that Adidas is going all out to show its commitment to Arizona State.

From doubling Nike's $2.1 million per year contract to having rapper Snoop Dogg welcome ASU to his 11.7 million Twitter followers, Adidas is off to a great start in its partnership.

The welcome continued on Tuesday night as former ASU quarterback Jake Plummer tweeted a pair of custom snakeskin Adidas cleats with the ASU pitchfork on it, of course.

"Doorbell rings, A package, @adidasFballUS with a sweet pair of personalized #snakeskin cleats, makes me want to play!"

Adidas spent much of the day tweeting out previews of ASU-themed products to a mixed reception. But these snakeskin cleats are fantastic. The cleats say "Jake the Snake" on one side, but the prominent display of the ASU logo is a great call.

The Adidas Football US Twitter account even changed its avatar and cover photo to feature the ASU logo, which was something we for sure never saw with Nike.

Athletic director Ray Anderson wanted ASU to be a top priority with its apparel partners, and Adidas is certainly following through on that promise early on.
