Georgia, EU hold business seminar in Tbilisi

The European Union (EU)-Georgia Business Council held a seminar in the Georgian capital of Tbilisi to discuss issues on the EU Association Agreement on Wednesday.

Seminar participants ran through topics as tariff barriers, World Trade Organization regulations on tariffs and the EU requirement upon Georgia on tariffs.

The seminar carries special significance in that the South Caucasus country is waiting for its Association Agreement to be ratified by all EU member states and EU institutions.

An Association Agreement is a treaty between the EU and a non-EU country that creates a framework for cooperation between them.

The EU-Georgia Business Council is a non-profit institution founded in 2006, dedicated to facilitating investment and trade between the EU and Georgia. Endi
