Rohan Gandotra and Sahil Salathia, lead boys from 'Everest' share certain chemistry with the show, despite it being a woman centric plot. As the two actors came to Chandigarh recently, we understood their reasons for coming on board this soap. Rohan Gandotra, from Delhi and is an IT graduate and feels blessed to work in a show which is linked with big names like AR Rahman Glenn Baretto and Ashutosh Gowariker (producer).
This model turned actor never attended any acting school and believes that giving auditions is the best way to learn acting. Sahil Salathia hails from Jammu and believes that acting comes from heart and nobody can fake it.
How does it feel to work in a woman centric show?
This is not really a women centric show. It's a story of three protagonists which will be soon link up. No doubt it has started with an inspiring topic of women which is the soul of the show but we are there for some reason too, if you believe so.
You guys have been trekking too in the show…
It was a very challenging to trek as well as shoot, but a team of doctors was always there with us. We experienced cyclone, avalanche, snow storm and several other natural ravages. We used to cook food in the jungle, did many stunts ourselves and have survived mainly on instant noodles, soup and mutton. There were times when we were afraid too but then acting is our first passion.
Aren't you scared of being typecast after working in such a serial?
For now, we are contract bound to work only in this serial so not thinking of beyond this. But yes, after this we are hopeful of bagging something good.
