Ashanti ‘disgusted’ by stalker’s dirty tweets

Grammy-winning R&B singer Ashanti defiantly faced her accused stalker in Manhattan court Tuesday as the creep acted as his own lawyer and grilled her on the witness stand over the disgusting tweets he sent her.

She later testified that she felt “disgusted” and “embarrassed” by the dirty tweets.

The songstress, dressed in a gray pantsuit and wearing a sleek, waist-length ponytail, glared and rolled her eyes at Devar Hurd as she testified about reading the lewd messages while at her mom’s birthday dinner in July 2013.

“To be at a family event with my mom and to have a person coming at you so derogatory, it was disgusting,” Ashanti told Manhattan Supreme Court jurors about the tweets in which Hurd describes several sexual acts. “It just doesn’t seem like a normal person would tweet you that over and over.”

Ashanti glowered at Hurd as he began grilling her about whether she recognized him in a photo he tweeted of himself and her younger sister, Kenashia Douglas.

“Initially, I didn’t recognize you,” she told Hurd, who appeared to be offended.

It wasn’t until a fan pointed Hurd out in the October 2012 picture – taken after court orders of protection were issued against the loon following his conviction for sending Ashanti crotch shots through her mom Tina Douglas in 2010 – that the songstress realized her stalker had returned.

“How did it make you feel when you realized it was the defendant who sent all those tweets?” prosecutor Rachel Ehrhardt asked the singer.

“Disgusted,” she said.
