JOIN USThe Tourism department has invited applications from the unemployed youth, to provide taxis under Scheduled Caste Sub Plan (SCSP) and Tribal Sub Plan (TSP) scheme for the year 2014-15.
With an objective of providing self employment opportunity, the department has decided to distribute 23 vehicles for the SC candidates and 12 vehicles under ST category.
Those unemployed who possess licence for Light Motor Vehicle (LMV) and belong to SC/ST communities are eligible to apply. The department will provide a financial aid of Rs two lakh for each selected applicant. While the beneficiaries have to bear five per cent of the cost, the remaining funds will be supported by banks.
Applicants should belong to SC/ST category; should be between 20 and 40 years; have a minimum qualification of SSLC pass; possess licence for LMV for at least one year; be a resident of Mysuru district; not be a permanent worker in any government department, boards or corporations. Only one person from a family is eligible to apply.
