Five held in 2 murder cases

The Gachibowli police claimed to have solved the mystery behind the killing of an auto driver Abdul Moiz (25), within 24 hours of the incident, with the arrest of three persons.

The accused persons were identified as Mohammed Mahaboob (26) an auto driver from Hafeezpet, Gowrav Tiwari (20) a private employee from Kondapur and Syed Ibrahim (24) an auto driver from Hafeezpet.

“Mahaboob and Moiz were involved in some property offences and developed differences over sharing of booty following which the former along with Tiwari and Ibrahim stabbed him to death,” Gachibowli Inspector J. Ramesh said.

In a separate case, two persons were arrested by the Mirchowk police for their alleged involvement in the murder of Mohd Javeed, a printing press owner, reported at Chatta Bazaar on Wednesday last. Addressing a press conference, DCP (south) V. Satyanarayana said that the accused Hassan Bin Ibrahim Al Jabri (31) a financer from Mirchowk and his friend Mohd Ali (37) a DCM driver went to Moin Printing Press at Chatta Bazaar and stabbed Javeed with a knife over financial disputes.
