Rajhesh Vaidya amazed the audience on the first day of the pre-final audition of the Times Thyagaraja Awards at Rajarathinam Kalai Arangam in Chennai

The Rajarathinam Kalai Arangam in Chennai saw several Carnatic enthusiasts throng the place to attend the first day of the pre-final audition of the Times Thyagaraja Awards, last Monday. The evening witnessed the performnces of some of the young Carnatic talents in the city.
While the audience were rapt, as the vocalists mesmerized them with their soulful singing, judges Lakshmi Rangarajan, Vijayalakshmi Subramaniam and Vasudha Rajagopal kept interacting with the contestants after every performance.
As the auditions came to a close, veteran veena player Rajhesh Vaidya, took the stage and amazed the gathering with his mastery over the instrument.
