Lisa Robertson Keeping In Touch With QVC Fans On Facebook, Oversleeps On First ‘Day Off’

Lisa Robertson has left QVC after two decades, and on her very first day as a former QVC staff member, she overslept. The popular show host took to Facebook to connect with fans after her last show aired on Friday, Dec. 12, and let everyone know just how things are going post-QVC.

“They say that ‘Today is the first day of the rest of your life.’ On this first day, I overslept, and it was wonderful. Hope you have a great weekend,” Robertson wrote. While her career on QVC might be over, Robertson has been determined to keep up with her Facebook account, and has been posting updates fairly frequently this weekend. She even asked her fans what they would like to see posted on her account moving forward.

“Hi ‘Peeps’! Question: what would you like to see on this page? (Since now, it’s up to us, I’d love to know what you think),” Robertson wrote on Sunday. Well over 3,000 people commented about what they’d like to see from Robertson moving forward.

Lisa Robertson has long been a staple in home shopping. Many people loved her presentation, her enthusiasm, and her presence on QVC, and so many trusted her opinions on products that they would purchase for themselves. According to Closer Weekly, Lisa’s departure was very emotional.

“Thank you so much for 20 years,” Robertson said as she prepared to walk off the set one last time. As previously reported by the Inquisitr, the 49-year-old made the somewhat surprising decision to leave the network back in October. She said that she needed to do some “soul-searching,” and that she would be leaving in December. She has remained grateful for her experience on QVC, and to those who have supported her along the way.

She recently reached out to thank her supporters on the QVC fashion blog.

“Now, I want to talk about you. I am not sure you realize what a difference you make. We have shared a lot you and I, the good and the bad. We have shared jokes, fashion, beauty, Christmas decorating, laughter and sorrow, advice and encouragement, triumph and loss, cooking and burning things, teasing, late night snacks, books, movies, sleeplessness, etc. You have become a part of my every day. I know you listen to me, but I want you to know that I listen to you, too. You have been a bigger help, a greater source of comfort and a more welcome diversion when I have needed it, than anything else I can think of… We have become good friends, and I want to thank you…”
