NEW DELHI: Lok Sabha on Tuesday witnessed some lighter moments when Union minister M Venkaiah Naidu quipped that he was still getting "love letters" and his wife does not mind it.
He made the comment when BJP member Manoj Tiwari, a known Bhojpuri singer, sang a song in which he said he loves Naidu for bringing a bill on regularization of unauthorized colonies in Delhi.

"Manoj Tiwariji went even to the extent of singing a song saying, 'Venkaiahji, I love you.' I have no problem with that. My wife is not going to misunderstand you because many people love me and write love letters to me since my younger days," Naidu said.
Participating in debate on The National Capital Territory of Delhi Laws (Special Provisions) Second (Amendment) Bill 2014, Tiwari, who represents East Delhi, sang: "I love urban development minister Venkaiah Naidu" for bringing the bill.
Naidu, who is also the minister for parliamentary affairs, said he was being loved by the people "not for other reasons but for political and public activities."
"So, I have no problem on that count. My wife is here only in Delhi. I will tell her definitely that there is one more person who has joined...," he said.
At this, Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge said, "Why do you have such doubt in your mind?"
Naidu said, "there is no doubt in my mind. If there is any doubt in your mind, it should be removed. That is all...."
Kharge again said, "you are speaking from your heart?" The Minister said, "Yes, I am speaking from my heart. There is no doubt about it."
