The Faraskhana police recently arrested two vehicle thieves and recovered 12 stolen motorcycles from them.

PUNE : The Faraskhana police recently arrested two vehicle thieves and recovered 12 stolen motorcycles from them.
The suspects have been identified as Sanjit alias Sandip Balraj Yadav (24) currently residing at Lande Vadi in Bhosari, hails from Uttar Pradesh and Raju Trambak Shirwale (25) of Tathavade in Mulshi taluka. The Faraskhana police team led by senior inspector Milind Gaikwad arrested them.

Gaikwad said that the detection team of the Faraskhana police station was patrolling duty in the jurisdiction, when police constable Shankar Kumbhar noticed two men sitting on a motorcycle parked along the road. "Our team detained them for questioning. Initially the duo revealed that they were mechanics and the owner of the motorcycle had kept it with them for repairing," Gaikwad said.
He said that during the sustained interrogation the duo admitted that they had stolen the motorcycle from the Peth area. "During the police custody remand the duo also revealed their involvement in the theft of 11 more motorcycles," Gaikwad said.
Gaikwad said that the suspects had stolen the motorcycles from VIshrambaug, Faraskhana, Hinjewadi and Yerawada areas. "We are expecting to recover more stolen motorcycles from the duo," Gaikwad said. The investigating team comprised sub-inspector Girish Sonawane, police constabels Yashwant Ombase, Naresh Balsane, Sagar Kekan, Dnyaneshwar Deokar, Vinayak Shinde.
