After the release of his film Parapaar , director Sanjay Nag is having a blast acting in films for a change.
He has just finished working in Suman Ghosh's Kadambari and a Hindi diploma film. Sridevi Krishna, a final-year student of SRFTI approached me for her diploma film and I quite liked the script. That apart, I wanted to work with fresh minds, as I am curious about how they work and how they mount a film.
After all, they are our future filmmakers. And trust me, I was amazed by Sridevi's work. The way she designed the film in terms of style, content, time and space is praiseworthy," said Sanjoy.
The director, who recently returned from Tajpur after shooting for the film, which is about two families and how they are united by a child, said, I play Manu, head of one of the families. He and his wife longs to have a child and the film shows how this child changes their lives. And the best part is that the film is being shot in celluloid."
When we enquired about his plans to settle down in his personal life, he laughed and said, Let me enjoy the status of being one of the most eligible bachelors in town as of now."
Sridevi, too, is happy to have worked with Sanjoy in her first film. He never interfered in our way of work and only made suggestions when I asked for his help. He looked so good as Manu," said the young filmmaker.
