Kumaraswamy celebrates birthday with blind school children

Former chief minister and Janata Dal(S) leader H.D. Kumaraswamy celebrated his 56th birthday with the children of Maheshwari School for the Blind run by Women’s Welfare Society here on Tuesday.

Mr. Kumaraswamy cut the cake and shared it with the children and staff of the school. He also donated one lakh rupees from the party fund. The party workers also contributed to the tune of nearly Rs. 2 lakhs. With that the school received a cash gift of nearly Rs. 3 lakh, said WSS Secretary Vaijayanti M. Chougala and thanked the JD(S) leader for his gesture.

Earlier, Mr. Kumarswamy offered special prayers at the Shree Durga Devi temple at the fort complex in the city.
