Finally, the wait for Yamaha's highly anticipated R25 bike could be over, claims a new report on the web. According to the report, the Japanese two-wheeler major has started the dealer training for the 250cc engine in India.

A recent report of MotorBeam reads that the company has begun showcasing its new R25 bikes to its dealer in the country and a launch has been scheduled for April next year. It is also said that the company will be conducting the service training once every month for the next four months. If the report is to be believed, India will be getting the ABS-equipped version of R25.

Speaking of the features of R25, the India-bound version of the stylish bike R25 is expected to come with the 250cc liquid-cooled, in-line, four-stroke, two-cylinder engine, which can churn out a power of 36bhp, 12,000rpm and a peak torque of 22.1Nm at 10,000rpm. In terms of dimensions, Yamaha R25 measures 2,090mm in length, 720mm in width, 1,135mm in height and has a seat height of 780mm.

Built on a tubular diamond chassis, latest in the R-series line-up comes with telescopic suspension at the front and monocross suspension at the rear.

The bike will be brought to the country as Completely Knocked Down (CKD) and going by the rumours, R25 is likely to be priced in the ₹2.5-3 lakh brackets.

In India, when launched, Yamaha R25 will be competing Hyosung GT250R, Kawasaki Ninja 250 Mono and Honda CBR250R.
