Pakistani actress Mahira Khan is all set to make her Bollywood debut opposite Shah Rukh Khan in upcoming film ‘Raees’. Shahrukh will play a character inspired from Ahmedabad based gang operator Abdul Latif(1980s). The film is written by two Ahmedabad based journalists and directed by Rahul Dholakia. It is produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani under Excel Entertainment. The shooting of the film will take place in Mumbai and Gujarat.
Shahrukh Khan, 49, who is currently shooting for Yash Raj’s ‘Fan’, is expected to start filming ‘Raees’ in February next year.

“Our leading lady in #Raees @themahirakhan @iamsrk @rahuldholakia @FarOutAkhtar,” Sidhwani posted on Twitter along with a picture of Mahira.The Karachi based actress’ last big screen outing was in Shoaib Mansoor’s film ‘Bol’ (2011).Mahira, who is married to her college sweetheart Ali Askari, is already a known face in India, thanks to her role as Khirad in Pakistani TV drama ‘Humsafar’.
