The state government on Monday allotted 10 acres in Rajarhat New Town to Rabindra Bharati University so that it can shift the campus from Jorasanko Thakurbari.

KOLKATA: The state government on Monday allotted 10 acres in Rajarhat New Town to Rabindra Bharati University so that it can shift the campus from Jorasanko Thakurbari.
Chief minister Mamata Banerjee said the government wants to turn the Jorasanko campus into a museum. “The Jorasanko RBU campus will be shifted to a 10 acre plot in Rajarhat,” she announced at Nabanna.
However, vice-chancellor Sabyasachi Basu Roychowdhury said he had not received any official communication yet regarding the land allotment.
