MRPL receives Skoch Foundation Order-of-Merit award for best project

MANGALURU: MRPL has been conferred the prestigious Skoch Foundation Order-of-Merit award for the best project, Vijay Joshi, director (Refinery) said. B H V Prasad, general manager (Projects) received the Order of Merit from Sameer Kochhar, CEO, SKOCH Foundation and Zohra Chatterjee, IAS. The Foundation found MRPL phase 3 Refinery expansion and upgradation project worthy of recognition, Prasad said.
In early October, H Kumar, managing director, MRPL had directed MRPL should apply for this prestigious award that celebrates human excellence and agents of change in Indian society.Since 2003, when these were instituted, Skoch Awards have become independent benchmark of best practices in India in fields of governance, finance, banking, technology, corporate citizenship, economics and inclusive growth.
Vijay Joshi, with inputs from Girish B P, EA to MD finalized the application blue print that was later evaluated by Skoch Group think-tank and jury. It was cleared and short listed. Prasad made a 30 slide presentation at New Delhi before another three member jury. MRPL's phase III refinery expansion and upgradation project was recognized at the 38 ^thSkoch Summit on "Resurgent India, Competitive India" held in New Delhi.
