MADURAI: A ruling AIADMK party councillor in the Madurai Corporation on Monday staged a sit-in strike in the district collectorate during the public grievance redressal programme.
Ward 57 councillor G Katharammal along with her husband Ganesan and few residents visited collectorate stating that they had been staging a hunger strike for the last five days demanding that the civic body repair damaged roads and provide basic amenities but none of corporation officials turned out even to investigate.
